Answer: a) Alright so you need to find the length around the circle or the circumference, sorry if you knew that, just wanted to say it.
The formula is:
Pi* x d where d is diameter *Pi is the thing on your calculator that looks like squiggly doorway
c = pi x d
c = pi x 4
c = 12.556 which to the nearest metre is 13 metres required.
b) if the cost of bricks is 50 dollars per metre you multiply how many metres you have by the cost which is:
13 x 50 = $650
Since the shape is slightly irregular you need to split it up into smaller shapes that you know the size of the sides of so,
on the bottom bit you know going up on the right is 1, while the bottom is 3. If that was a rectangle by itself it would have an area of 3, or in working out terms,
a1 = lw
a1 = 3 x 1
a1 = 3cm squared,
The other part that isn’t covered by this area is what to find next, you know that the side marked as 1cm is the same as the side with the two lines that isn’t marked? And so then the other unknown side must be found, since you know the right side is 1 and the left side is 2 and you know that the unkown side plus one is the same as the 2 side, it must be 1. so the area of the unknown bit is 1 because:
a2 = lw
a2 = 1 x 1
a2 = 1 cm squared
To find the total area you simply add a1 and a2 together which is 4 cm square.
This was really irritatingly wordy, my bad!

Help With Math Taks

Question: how do you prepare for TAKS?
I’ve to take the taks test next week at 24th and i just found out about and i never prepared for it plus I don’t even know how
What are the basics to do?
What should I use to pass this taks especially math
The only things I can think about are websites, books, and tutorials
Is there something other than that because these things are hard to get prepared with in a week for all 4 subjects?
Is there a quick review website
Help me please I’m freaking out
Answer: You can go to the Texas Education Agency website and view and download released tests. They also have study guides available as well, some may be offsite. It takes some digging on the site, but you can find a lot of study materials for history and such.
