Help With Math Online

help with math online
Question: I need a good online math tutor for my 12yr old daughter who is starting 7th grade?

My job relations have to do with math, I have been very good at math during my younger years but my daughter definitely didnt take after me. She finds math to be very difficult and its hard for me because i work full time and cant give her that extra time she need. I know there are some really good sites that can help her but what are they? will this site help her daily? Do you have or know a child that was referred and improved?

How To Math Fractions

how to math fractions
Question: C’mon there has to be someone that can help with MATH FRACTIONS?! plz?

Need help with math fractions?

Im stuck and in serious need of some help. Math is not by best subject.

1) (x+3)/(x-5)< (or equal to) 1

I need it in interval form. Is (-infinity, -3) correct?
How do i know how the inequality sign is supposed to go?
2) (x+1)/(x-2) > (or equal to) x/(x+3)

One of my answers is x>-1/2
but idk how to put it in interval form, i think im missing another answer?

3) (x+1)/(x+7) – 2/3 < 0

i got 7 as one answer but again i do not know how to put it in interval form or how the inequality sign goes.

4) (x+2)/ (x-3) > 0

again im having problems with the interval and inequality.

Man anyone that can help please help you will be a lifesaver. Its from a packet and i need to turn it in tomorrow.
thank you very helpful, but i dont get the part after you find the undefined points?

Can u elaborate just a bit. thx

Answer: On 1, if (x + 3) / (x – 5) = 1, then x + 3 = x – 5 which is impossible. The only other possible boundary point is x = 5 since that makes the bottom undefined. So you need to try a point on either side of 5.

try 6: 6 + 3 / 6 – 5 = 9/1 not < 1
try 4: 4 + 3 / 4 - 5 = 7/-1 is < 1

so the answer is (-infinity, 5)

#2 make it =. cross multiply: x^2 - 2x = x^2 + 4x + 3
-2x = 4x + 3
-6x = 3
x = -3/6 = -1/2
and undefined if x = 2 or -3

so intervals to check:
x < -3, -3 < x ≤ -1/2, -1/2 ≤ x < 2, and x > 2

try -4: -3/-6 ≥ -4/-1 which is 1/2 ≥ 4 false
try -1: 0/-3 ≥ -1/2 which is 0 ≥ -1/2 true
try 0 : 1/-2 ≥ 0/3 which is -1/2 ≥ 0 false
try 3: 4/1 ≥ 3/6 which is 4 ≥ 1/2 true

so (-3, -1/2] U (2, infinity)

Do the others basically the same; solve as if it said equals; look for any undefined points, then check numbers in each interval between solutions/undefined points
