Question: Help With Math problem? Fractions with multiplication?

Here’s the problem:
At a party, Raj notices that 15 pitchers of lemonade are filled to the same level, but not to the top. He combines all the lemonade to fill six whole pitchers. What fraction of each of the 15 pitchers was full?

I can’t figure it out!! Can someone help me out?
Thanks

Answer: There was enough to fill 6 spread among 15.
Another way of saying that was there was 6 divided by 15. When we divide we put the number being divided on top and the number doing the dividing underneath. So each was 6/15 full.

Question: Asap! Help With Math Homework. Algebra and Geometry? include a+b formula!?

I need help with algebra and geometry. Also complementary and supplementary angles.

It asks me to include a+b formulas like a+b=90 or something.

I don’t understand how to solve these:

1. A given angle is 8 more than its complement. What is the measurement of each angle?

2. A given angle is 3 more than twice its complement. What are the two angles’ measurements?

3. A given angle is 6 more than five times its complement. What are the angles’ measurements?

4. The supplement of an angle is 3 times the given angle. How big is each angle?

5. The supplement of an angle is 9 less than twice the angle. What is the measurement of each?

Answer: Complementary angles are angles that add up to 90 degrees. Supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees.

1. a + b = 90
b = a + 8
a + a + 8 = 90
2a + 8 = 90
2a = 82
a = 41
b = 49

2. a + b = 90
b = 2a + 3
a + 2a + 3 = 90
3a + 3 = 90
3a = 87
a = 29
b = 2(29) + 3
= 61

3. a + b = 90
b = 5a + 6
a + 5a + 6 = 90
6a + 6 = 90
6a = 84
a = 14
b = 5(14) + 6
= 76

4. a + b = 180
b = 3a
a + 3a = 180
4a = 180
a = 45
b = 3(45)
= 135

5. a + b = 180
b = 2a – 9
a + 2a – 9 = 180
3a – 9 = 180
3a = 189
a = 63
b = 2(63) – 9
= 117

B | 8.0% | Short | Low | Yes
C | 9.0% | Long | Low | No
D | 9.0% | Long | High | Yes
E | 9.0% | Short | High | No

The officer wants to invest at least 50% of the money in short-term issues and no more than 50% in high-risk issues. At least 30% of the funds should go into tax-free investments and at least 40% of the total annual return should be tax free.
