3.simplify (8×10^7)x(5×10^6)
4.the Area of a Circle is 16 pie. what is the diameter of the circle?
5.five people equally share 2/3 of a pizza.as a fraction, what percentage does each person get of the whole pizza?
THANKs!

Answer: 1. 3 3/4 hrs@ $10/hr
=3.75 X 10, =37.50

1 1/2 hrs@10/hr
=1.5 X 10, =15
Total=37.50 + 15.00, =52.50

2.2/5 of 40=2/5 X 40, =16

3.(8×10^7) X (5×10^6)
=8 X 5 X10^7 X 10^6
=40×10^13
=4 X 10^1 X 10^13
=4×10^14

4. Area=(pi)R^2
16(pi)=(pi)R^2
(16)(pi)/(pi)=R^2
4=R
Therefore 8=D, since the diameter is twice the radius

5. The whole pizza is 100%
2/3 is 2/3 X 100, =66.67%
That 66.67% is divided 5 ways
66.67/5=13..33%

Math Homework Sheets For Kids

math homework sheets for kids
Question: Organizing the papers/work kids get home?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to orgranize the papers/work (Lang Arts, Math, Writing etc) that my 1st, 3rd graders get home every Friday? I’ve tried the 1 inch binder, but looking for any other options? Sometimes the sheets are a little big and get squished when put in binder.
And for some reason, my generally responsible kids just hate doing it themselves…

So, the question is how to organize kids school work so it can be looked thru later. This is about 30-40 sheets a week (Including homework, school work, art…) I’ve already tried the 1inch/ 3 inch binder idea last few years. Any other ideas appreciated.

Answer: Have you tried the folders with a pocket?
The printer paper fits and stays pretty neet.

Math Help Discriminant

Question: Can somebody please help with these math question?

Can anyone provide an example of how we find the discriminant? For example, how would we find the discriminant of a quadratic equation like: 2x^2 – 3x + 4 = 0?

Answer: b^2-4ac
which is
-3^2- 4(4)(2)
9-32
-23
which means there are 2 imaginary numbers or no real numbers
