Math Help Algebra Factoring

Question: I really need help with my math – algebra; factoring polynomials…?
r^2 – 6r – 9s^2 + 9………………….I need to factor this plynomial completely. Please help
Answer: First of all, let’s group the terms with r in them:
(r² – 6r) – 9s² + 9
Now group the terms with a 9 in them:
(r² – 6r) – (9s² – 9) ——> Notice that we changed the sign on the last 9, since if you distributed the minus sign outside of the second set of parentheses, you would get back a positive 9.
We can now factor out an r from the first part and a 9 from the second part:
r(r – 6) – 9(s² -1)
We can take the (s² -1) and factor it once more to get:
r(r – 6) – 9(s +1)(s – 1)
Voila! Factorization is complete.
