Math Help Graphing

Question: MATH GRAPHING HELP!!!!?!?!? 10 POINTS?
x-intercept = -2 and y-intercept = 1
so
(-2,0) (0,1)
do I graph it just like that?
Then how do I get it in y = mx + b form?
THANK YOU
Answer: yes (-2,0) & (0,1) are correct – you would graph it like that
now you need to find the slope(or “m”)
subtract y2(y sub 2)- y1(y sub1)
1-0
_____
0-(-2)
you get 1/2
that is your slope
so now you have y= 1/2x + b
b is your y-intercept
so y= 1/2 x + 1
hope that helps-its kinda hard to explain on the computer :]
