Math Homework Second Grade

math homework second grade
Question: Math homework question, 8th grade math [( Write the product in simplest form )] Help? :]?

Hello :D

Well first id just like the thank you for reading. Hehe well I’m Heather :] Im 14, and in 8th Grade. This is the second time im on yahoo asking for homework help, which is a tad odd for me :P Anyways, I was having problems with this question:

Write the product below in simplest form without parentheses:

( t + 3 ) ( t – 4 )

Could you help me, please?
And if you could also explain how you got your answer,
That would help :]
Just so i don’t run into this problem again.
And if you want, you don’t even have to use my homework question
You could use a totally different equation
[(Of the same subject :P )]
And work it out, just so i understand.
Whatever works for you…
So you don’t have to feel like im cheating
I’m just stupid i guess :P
Thanks again!
And have a nice day,
Or night…
Where ever you are xD
Later ^^

Answer: As derived from the theorem of Pascal’s Triangle, there are 3 basic rules/laws of quadratic equations which are namely:
1. (a + b)(a – b) = (a² – b²)
2. (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²
3. (a – b)² = a² – 2ab + b²

When all the above is not applicable, you use the FOIL (First, Outer, Inner, Last) method, the slow factorisation method, which currently applies to your given question. Solution:

(t + 3)(t – 4)
= t² – 4t + 3t – 12
= t² – t – 12

Multiply the first term of (t + 3), which is t, by the first term of (t – 4), which is t. You get t².
Then multiply the outer term of (t + 3), which is t, by the outer term of (t – 4), which is -4. You get -4t.
Next, multiply the inner term of (t + 3), which is 3, by the outer term of (t – 4), which is t. You get 3t.
Lastly, multiply the last term of (t + 3), which is 3, by the last term of (t – 4), which is -4. You get -12.

It’s just following patterns. It’s so hard to explain through writing. I hope you’ve understood though.

Math Help Free Online Tutor

Question: Where can I find a free, incredible, online math tutor?

I need an online math tutor, or website, or course, that can teach someone (me) who finds math a language from space. I need to pass my GED by like February. HELP!?
Just gimme some great math websites that are free…anything!

Answer: I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that’s free online, but I HIGHLY suggest an actual tutor. Talk to anyone and everyone you can in your school system if you are 21 and under because they could pay for one if you qualify for certain programs. Also check with the state department of education or your local community colleges for scholarships or grants! I got a math tutor through a combo of those, it was the only way I could have passed the math section of the GED. Good luck!
