Question: Help With Math slope question!?

The slope of the line with equation y=-3 is ?
the question is multiple choice:

a. -3
b. 1/3
c. 0
d. unidentified

Answer: y=-3 is a horizontal line.
Logically:
It is never changing, b/c it is a horizontal line.
Because of this, there is no slope.
Algebraically:
Slope=rise/run
The rise/run =0, because it doesn’t rise therefore rise=0, run =infinity.
0/infinity=0
(well, not technically, but 0 over any number =zero)
so your slope is zero.

Math Formulas

Math formulas are important when solving Math Homework Problems. Knowing math formulas allows you to solve math problems quickly. When you learn more advanced math, math formulas become less and less useful. This is because beyond college level mathematics, you need to do all your math proofs from scratch from the basics. The need to prove from first principals becomes more and more important.

Math formulas have many practical uses in everyday life. Math formulas are not only useful in math but in physics, business, finance, and economics for examples. We will review some math formulae here on this Math Help website to help you with math homework.
